The Chadron High cross country teams had a banner day at the Panhandle Classic in Scottsbluff.
The Lady Cardinals used three top 10 finishes to take the team title over Sidney 24-30.
Makinley Fuller was the first Cardinal across the line, in 3rd, with a time of 21:22. Grace Pyle was two spots back in 5th just :22 behind.
Emma Witte finished with a 22:14 for 7th.
Crawford’s Paityn Homan also came away with a medal, taking 14th in a time of 22:52.
The Chadron boys had two top 10 placers.
Carter Ryan edged out teammate Gavin Sloan in a battle for 7th and 8th with a time of 18:21. Sloan crossed in 18:29.
Sidney ran away from the field in the boys team race with an 18-35 victory over Gering.
Chadron is off a week before running at Monument Shadows in Gering next Friday.
