The Chadron High girls cross country team is ranked 3rd in the initial Nebraska Cross Country Coaches Association Class C rankings.

Over the first two meets of the season the Cards have a championship finish at the Panhandle Classic, and were most recently third at the Gering Invite.

Douglas County West and Arlington are numbers one and two with DCW receiving 9 of 10 first place votes.

The Class C western district continues to appear loaded as Sidney (5th), Ogallala (6th), Broken Bow (8th) are all in this week’s top 10.

The Chadron boys were the 2nd team out of the rankings behind Lincoln Lutheran.

Milford and Sidney hold down the top two spots.

Chadron and most of the surrounding teams will be running on the Chadron State campus this Saturday for the Chadron Invite.
