Classes B and C will take center stage today in Omaha as they begin their half of the Nebraska state track meet. Classes A and D concluded on Thursday.
Chadron is a part of the Class B field while Gordon-Rushville is in Class C. Up first will be the Class C field this morning.
The Gordon-Rushville boys 4x800m relay team will lead things off for area competitors.
Gordon-Rushville’s Jayla Brehmer and Jace Freeseman will wrap up the morning session with the girls and boys 400m prelims while Aydon McDonald competes in the 300m hurdle prelims.
Chadron’s Chayton Bynes, Tatum Bailey, and Jayrah Ngoi will start the Class B session off with field events this afternoon. Bynes will compete in the boys long jump while Bailey and Ngoi are in the girls triple jump.
First up on the track will be the Chadron girls 4x800m relay teams. Bailey will head from the field to the track for the 100m hurdles prelims. The Chadron duo of Rhett Cullers and Garrett Reece will follow in the boys 110m high hurdle prelims.
