A pair of Dawson Dunbar rushing touchdowns pushed the Chadron football team to 2-0 on the season with a 28-7 win over Gordon-Rushville in a game that ended with 1:43 left in the game due to severe weather.
A 35-yard Justus Alcorn pass to Seth Gaswick got the Cards on the board midway through the 1st quarter for a 7-0 lead.
Just a few minutes later Freshman Quinn Bailey ran for his first touchdown of the season from 14-yards out to put Chadron up 13-0.
Dunbar would follow with a 9-yard rush to cap the first half scoring and give Chadron a 21-0 advantage at the break.
Dunbar then added one in the 2nd half to put the game away.
Gordon-Rushville would get a late score for the final margin.
Chadron makes the road trip to Valentine next week while Gordon-Rushville heads to Mitchell.
