Chadron Native Tabbed To Lead Alliance Girls Basketball Team (Interview)

Chadron native Stephen Crile has been tabbed as the new head girls basketball coach at Alliance.

Crile just finished up his fourth season as the head coach of the Ainsworth girls basketball team, building a record of 34-55, going 25-19 over his last two seasons. In his first season he led the Lady Bulldogs to a district championship game appearance.

Prior to his stop at Ainsworth, Crile spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Central City, helping guide the Bison to a district championship game against eventual C1 state champion Kearney Catholic.

In taking over Alliance, Crile will inherit a program that is just 22-70 over the past four seasons, including just 1-45 the last two years.

The Bulldogs last winning season came in 2017-18, when they lost to South Sioux City in the district finals.

Crile is a 2005 graduate of Chadron High School and holds a Masters of Education degree from Chadron State.
