Chadron Outlasts Alliance In Slugfest, 17-13

There was no shortage of runs on Tuesday night as the Chadron High softball team defeated Alliance 17-13 for the 4th win over the Bulldogs this season.

Kinley Richardson drove in five runs, including a three run homer in the top of the 7th. Sarah LeBere and Aubrey Milburn also added round trippers themselves.

The Cards outhit Alliance 19-15 on the night, while the Chadron pitching staff combined for 7 strikeouts.

The big inning of the night came in the top of the 3rd when Chadron brought in 9 runs in the inning to help build a 10-0 lead before the Bulldogs chipped away.

Despite all the runs, CHS head coach Jodi Hendrickson was pleased with her defense, saying, “Our defense was a lot cleaner tonight, which has been one of our areas for improvement”.

Chadron will hit the road this weekend and play at Chase County on Friday before stopping in North Platte on Saturday for tournament action.
