Anika Burke and Tatum Bailey each recorded four kills in the match.

Chadron avenged an early season loss to Gering by sweeping the Bulldogs 25-13, 25-17. Bailey along with Macey Daniels had 5 kills in the win. Emma Cogdills had five ace serves.

Chadron closed out the tournament by avenging Friday’s loss to Rapid City Stevens in pool play by sweeping the Raiders 25-11, 26-24 in the 5th place match.

Burke and Bailey each had 6 kills. Jacey Garrett and Jaleigh McCartney combined for 30 digs.

On the 5th place finish Head Coach Blakelee Hoffman said, “I was very happy with the way our day ended, especially the way the girls bounced back after a rough match against Sidney. They really came together as a team and outplayed both Stevens and Gering.”

Chadron is back home on Tuesday as undefeated Rapid City Christian comes to the Bird Cage.
