The Chadron American Legion FNBO Junior Nationals fell to Alliance yesterday 4-3 in the winner’s bracket semifinals of the B7 Area Tournament in Sidney.
With the win, top-seeded Alliance advances to tomorrow’s championship game while Chadron plays Sidney today in an elimination game. Sidney avoided elimination yesterday by beating Ogallala 15-5.
The Chadron-Sidney loser is out and the winner meets Alliance for the title, but will have to beat them twice to advance to state later this month in Wahoo.
The Sheridan County Regulators lost to Imperial in the C7 winner’s bracket semifinals.
Sheridan County will play Hershland today. Hershland outslugged Arapahoe-Cambridge 18-13 after losing to Sheridan County 11-3 in the 2nd round. Today’s winner must beat Imperial twice to make the state tournament in Creighton.Â
