The Chadron FNBO Junior Nationals fell a game short of the state tournament on Tuesday night, falling to Alliance 5-3 in the 2nd “if necessary” game of the B7 area tournament.
The Nationals opened the night by defeating Alliance 6-5 in the opener to force the 2nd game.
Meanwhile in Imperial, it took the host team just one game to claim the C7 crown over Sheridan County 5-3.
The Regulators needed to beat Imperial twice to punch their ticket to the state tourney.
Class B will be hosted in Wahoo and Class C will take place in Creighton. Both tournaments will start on Saturday.
