Gunner Prior and Gage Tennyson both hit double figures for Custer as the Wildcats boys blew past Valentine 68-43 in the semifinals of the Chadron Rotary George Watson Classic Tuesday evening.
Custer jumped out of the gates with a 17-2 lead in the first six minutes of the game and never slowed down.
Twice the Wildcats pushed the lead out to 30 before the Badgers narrowed it down to the final margin on a buzzer beating three pointer.
Tennyson finished with 16 points and Prior added 11. Hank Lancaster carried Valentine with 12 points.
Custer will meet Chadron in the championship game on Wednesday at 2:30 pm while Valentine plays Hemingford is the boys consolation game at 11:30 am.
