Chadron Tries For 3-0, Crawford Opens Season


The Chadron High football team will try to run its record to 3-0 tonight on the road at Valentine.

The two teams didn’t get to meet in 2020 when COVID issues forced a cancellation of the game.

The Cardinals enter averaging 35 points per game while the Badgers have scored just two touchdowns through two games.

— Sioux County is in search of its first win of the season this afternoon in a battle of winless teams as they welcome Creek Valley.

The Warriors have started the year dealing with injuries, but an increase in roster numbers have softened the blow. Creek Valley is 0-2, including a week one loss to Hay Springs.

Kickoff is at 2:00 pm this afternoon on KBPY and with the Butler Ag Equipment preview show starting at 1:30.

— After seeing their season opener cancelled and then having a bye week, the Crawford football team opens their schedule today at Banner County.

The Rams were set to play Edgemont back on August 28th to start the year, the Moguls were plagued by low numbers.

The Wildcats already have a game under their belt, a 27-6 setback last week to Minatare.

Kickoff is tonight at 7:00 pm.

— Hay Springs will test their #6 ranking this afternoon against #8 Arthur County.

The Hawks are coming off of a bye week, while the Wolves fell to Cody-Kilgore last week 77-33.

Kickoff has been moved up a half an hour from 2:00 to 1:30 pm.

— Gordon-Rushville is on the road for the 2nd week in a row still in search of a win as they head to Mitchell.

The Mustangs have opened with a trio of teams with a combined record of 6-0.
