Chadron Welcomes Gering, Hay Springs Tries To Bounce Back


It’s another Friday of football on the Chadrad Sports network of stations starting with an early afternoon kickoff in Hay Springs where the Hawks host South Platte at noon.

10th ranked Hay Springs was dealt their first loss of the season last week on the road at Arthur County while South Platte is still in search of their first victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Chadron is home against a pesky Gering squad as the Cardinals look to start 3-0 for the 2nd straight season.

The Chadron D has given up just one touchdown on the season and the offense is averaging just over 35 points per contest.

Gering is just 1-2 in the early season, but that lone win was against the top ranked 2A team in Wyoming.

Sioux County is on the road in Wyoming today squaring off with Guernsey-Sunrise looking to build momentum off of last week’s thrilling 38-36 win over Creek Valley. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm.

Crawford welcomes 3rd ranked Potter-Dix in a battle of unbeatens. The Rams had their season opener last week at Banner County and turned it into a 75-7 drubbing. Kickoff is 7:00 pm.

Gordon-Rushville is flying high after their upset of Mitchell last week and is at home tonight hosting Bennett County. Toe meets leather at 6:00 pm.

Lusk will try to recover from last week’s big loss to Pine Bluffs as they host Moorcroft at 6:00 pm tonight. Our KCSR crew will be on hand in the Hometown Country parking lot hosting a tailgate party from 3:30-5:30 dishing out sloppy joes.
