Chadron Wins Pilfold Invite, Ends Regular Season On 16 Game Win Streak

For the third weekend in a row the Chadron High volleyball team claimed another tournament title by sweeping Alliance 25-21, 25-20 in the championship of the Pilfold Invitational in Alliance.

Chadron started the day with a 25-22, 25-19 win over Hill City, the #4 ranked team in South Dakota Class A. TheCards followed it up with a 23-25, 25-15, 25-23 win over Sidney, their third in a row since losing the first two meetings of the season.

Chadron closed out pool play with a sweep of Lakota Tech, 25-20, 25-10, to advance to the championship game.

Chadron is now 23-12, extending their winning streak to 16, and making them 18-2 in the month of October.

It will be a quick turnaround as Chadron will find itself on the road Monday for the C1-12 sub district tournament. The Cardinals open with Ogallala at 4:00 pm. The winner will face Chase County in the semifinals at 7:00 pm.
