Chadron Wins Two At Volleyball Jamboree

Chadron High volleyball coach Blakelee Hoffman said Tuesday night’s jamboree at Chadron State College went “very well”.

Hoffman said her Lady Cardinals won both of their matches, one over Hemingford, the other over Leyton, and was able to get all of the girls playing time.

Chadron will wait an entire week before they open the regular season next Thursday in the Bird Cage against Mitchell.

Hay Springs head coach Lisa Merritt came away optimistic after her team was swept by Sidney before splitting sets with Gordon-Rushville. Merritt says that there is a lot of work to do before the season starts but she believes the team can mold together at the right time.

Hay Springs will start their season next Friday against Creek Valley.

Crawford and Sioux County join Hemingford in a triangular next Saturday while Gordon-Rushville will also open with a triangular in Hemingford next Thursday along with Kimball.
