A 5-0 day by Daniel Wellnitz highlighted the Chadron High wrestling teams performance at the Gothenburg dual tournament on Saturday.
Wellnitz, at 152-lbs, pinned three of his opponents and earned a major decision in his other contested match.
Ryan Bickel at 285, Kade Waggener at 182, and Rhett Cullers at 160 each finished their day with 4-1 records. The trio combined for nine pins in the 13 total contested matches.
Sawyer Haag ended his day with a 3-2 record while Braden Underwood went 2-3 at 170-lbs and 120-lbs respectively.
Uzziah Schwartz and Fiaa Rasmussen each went 1-4.
In their duals, Chadron lost 60-24 to Gering and Waverly, fell 46-28 to Sidney, were defeated 48-31 by Gothenburg, and ended the day with a 40-30 loss to Alliance in the 5th place match.
Chadron is hosting its own dual tournament on Friday.
