Chadron’s Bailey Medals, Gordon-Rushville Comes Up ShortPosted by Jeremy AndersonDate: May 21, 2021 9:33 pmLeave a comment392 Views Chadron High’s Tatum Bailey placed 4th in the Class B triple jump Friday as the State Track Meet in Omaha moved from Classes A&D to B&C. Bailey’s leap was a season-best 35-4-¾. Teammate Jayrah Ngoi finished 14th in the same event and Bailey failed to make the finals in the 100 hurdles, finishing with the 12th fastest time in qualifying. She’s back in action today in the high jump. The girls 4×800 relay was 12th, Rhett Cullers and Garrett Reece were 18th and 20th in the boys 110 HH prelims, and Chayton Bynes finished 20th in the LJ. Bynes has a 2nd chance at a medal Saturday in the triple jump while Cody Hall goes in the shot put. Those field events begin at 2:00 pm Gordon-Rushville failed to place or advance anyone yesterday. The boys 4×800 relay was 12th, Jace Freeseman finished 22nd in the boys 400 prelims, Jayla Brehmer was 24th in the girls 400, and Aydon McDonald was 22nd in the boys 300 hurdles. Hoping for better results Saturday morning on the girls side are Tyrah American Horse in the 1600, Haley Johnson in the 800, and McKinley Grover in the shot put while in action for the Gordon-Rushville boys are the 4×400 relay and Elijah Jackson in the triple jump. Running events start at 9:30 am.
