Chadron High School

The Chadron High volleyball team captured their 2nd Western Conference Tournament championship in three years, taking down Mitchell in the title game 14-25, 25-14, 25-23.

The win also gave head coach Blakelee Hoffman the 100th of her career, now in her 5th season.

The Cardinals opened tournament play by getting sweeps over Gering and Alliance in pool play.

Mitchell swept Scottsbluff and needed three sets to get past Sidney to win their pool.

The trio of wins gives Chadron a 6-game winning streak and makes them winners of 10 of their last 12 outings.

Sidney defeated Alliance for 3rd place and Gering beat Scottsbluff for 5th place.

The Cards will hit the road on Tuesday for a tussle with Sidney.
