Former Chadron State College point guard Colby Jackson signed a contract on Thursday to play basketball for the Seattle Mountaineers of the American Basketball Association, coach Don Sims announced.
“Colby is a floor general,” said Sims, “with a high basketball IQ, and he has a solid skill set. He will fit in nicely.”
The Mountaineers are a touring exhibition team with a non-profit focus on Christian values and community engagement. The club is 168-65 since joining the ABA in 2010.
Jackson is a 2019-20 All-RMAC honorable mention selection and an All-Nebraska Division II team member as well. As a senior he recorded the highest assist total, with 140, since CSC realigned from the NAIA to NCAA Division II.
