The cold-shooting Eagles simply couldn’t keep up with the Lopers, shooting 19-6% on field goals (11-56) and 17.6% on three-pointers (3-17). The team, however, shot a season-best 86.4% on free throws (19-22).

Kearney’s offense exploded to begin the game, jumping out to a 22-7 lead at the start of the second quarter. The Eagles only landed three field goals out of 29 attempts in the first half. Included in the 13 first-half points were three-pointers landed by Bailey Brooks and Samiyah Worrell

Chadron State’s best effort came in the third quarter when they outscored the Lopers 22-18. They shot 43.8% on field goals (7-16), 16.7% on three-pointers (1-6), and 87.5% on free throws (7-8). Worrell landed another three-pointer while Ashayla Powers drove up the paint to land three lay-ups and sank two free throws.
