The Chadron State volleyball team will finally begin its COVID delayed season today at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.

The Eagles were picked to finish 10th in the conference under second year head coach Jennifer Stadler.

One of the most experienced players expected to lead the way this season is former Chadron High standout and returning second team all-RMAC middle hitter Chandler Hageman.

According to Stadler the biggest challenge for the team was having to mentally reset.

“In a regular season, fall is for playing, spring is for practicing. This year, the semester roles are reversed. Volleyball will be played in the spring and the team had fall to practice.”

Following tonight’s match the Eagles will hurry home and host South Dakota School of Mines tomorrow.

Tonight’s match can be seen on the RMAC Sports Network at 5:00 pm.
