     The first combined Nebraska boys and girls state basketball tournament has begun in Lincoln with the Crawford girls among the Day 1 teams.
       The Lady Rams are making their first state appearance since 2015 against O’Neill St Mary’s at Lincoln North Star High School and we’ll have the action tonight on FM 107.7 KBPY.
       Crawford is the 6th seed and comes in with a 20-4 record. This is their 3rd time at state, but they lost their opener the first 2 times.
       3rd-seeded St Marys is 19-6 and making its 8th trip to state, but the first since 2017. They’ve placed 4 times, taking the title in 2015, finishing 2nd in 2013 and 2016, and 3rd in 2017.Â
      We’ve got a super-sized 20-minute pregame on KBPY starting at 6:25 with tipoff scheduled for 6:45, but since it’s the 2nd game of the session tipoff could be a little later. The full broadcast can also be streamed here at chadrad.com.
