Crawford Girls Win PAC Track Championship

The Crawford girls won six gold medals en route to the Panhandle Conference track championship on Friday in Morrill.  The Lady Rams were 12 points better than Sioux County, 130-118.

Crawford’s Jillian Brennan accounted for three of those first place finishes.  Brennan won the 400m and 800m and was a part of the winning 4x400m relay team. The Crawford girls 4x100m and 4x800m relay teams also collected wins.

Hannah Wasserberger won the shot put to account for the 6th top finish.

Morgan Peters of Edgemont struck gold twice in the hurdles, winning both the 100m and 300m hurdles.  

Sioux County dominated the jumps as Kailey Klein won the high jump, Karlee Junke took the triple jump, and Skylar Edmund was tops in the long jump. 

On the boys side, Caleb Simons of Edgemont won a pair of individual golds in the 400m and long jump.

Hay Springs’ Cadell Brunsch was first in the high jump and a member of the Hawks winning 4x800m relay team.

Ty Brady of Crawford was the area’s other winner, placing first in the 800m.
