The Crawford Rams defeated the Sioux County boys for the fourth time this season in a 43-17 contest that got off to a slow start.

Both teams went scoreless for nearly five minutes, and a single bucket by the Rams’ Hayes Frahm was the only score until close to the six-minute mark. Crawford rattled off eight in the final minutes of the first quarter to take a 10-0 lead. Sioux County finally found the net when Jack Hunter scored on consecutive free throws mid-way through the second, and the Warriors’ William Skavdahl also sank a pair from the line. A trey by Tucker Monroe gave the Warriors seven, but the Rams netted 11 in the quarter with buckets by Levi Van Beek, Roman Metz, Talen Huggett and Carter Rudloff.

With a 21-7 advantage at the break, the Rams returned to the floor with an 8-1 run in the third and outscored the Warriors 14-9 in the final frame. Crawford was two-of-13 from the free throw line and sank three treys in the contest. Rudloff led the Rams with 11, followed by Frahm with 10.

Sioux County also netted three treys and had a six-of-13 showing from the charity stripe. Hunter and Monroe led the Warriors with six apiece.
