Crawford, Hay Springs, Hot Springs All Roll To Big Wins

Crawford jumped out to a 50-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 58-28 win over South Platte on Friday.

The Rams improved to a 3-1 start to the season for the 2nd time in three years.

— The Hay Springs football team cruised to a 3-1 record with their 59-0 shutout win over Minatare on Friday.

It’s the 2nd week in a row that the Hawks offense has put up 56 or more points and it’s also the 2nd consecutive time that the Hay Springs D has pitched a shutout.

Hay Springs will host Crawford next Thursday in a game we will broadcast on FM 107.7 KBPY and Chadrad.com.

— The Sioux County football team was on the short end of the stick on Friday afternoon as they were defeated by Cody-Kilgore 86-8.

The Cowboys built a 66-0 halftime lead and never let Sioux County get close to the end zone until the last minute of the game. The Warriors’ Cy Hughson rolled out to his left and found a wide open Shane Gluth for the touchdown with just :29 remaining.

Sioux County is now 1-3 on the season and will host Minatare next Friday.

— Hot Springs picked up a big 49-0 homecoming win over Lakota Tech on Friday night to run their record to 5-1.

The Bison scored all 49 of their points in their first half.

They travel to winless Custer next week.

— The Oelrichs football team fell to 0-5 after a 64-6 loss to McLaughlin on Friday in All-Nations League play.

The Tigers travel to Macy, Nebraska next Friday to meet Omaha Nation.
