The Chadron State College volleyball match against Colorado Mesa University, originally scheduled for 5 p.m., will now be played at noon, in order to accommodate the visitors, with admission open to spectators adhering with the CSC Face Mask Policy and social distancing.
The CSU-Pueblo match scheduled for 11 a.m. will not be played, due to Covid concerns. The programs will work to try and reschedule as dates allow. The NCAA is limiting each Division II member to 14 dates of competition in the current season, any of which may include multiple matches.
The Eagles are coming off their first win of the season, 3-0, over South Dakota Mines. That match was not on the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schedule, so CSC is 0-1 in league play.
Colorado Mesa is now ranked No. 20 nationally, after starting the season 4-0. The Mavericks picked up a season opening 3-0 win over Regis University, then ranked No. 5, before picking up wins against CSU-Pueblo, Northwest Nazarene, and Westminster.
