Niobrara County (Lusk) hasn’t even played a game yet, but the Tigers jumped over Southeast as the new number one in the latest WyoPreps.com 9-man coaches and media poll.
Southeast had more 1st place votes, 8-6, but Niobrara County made the leap behind 192 total points compared to 174 for the Cyclones.
The two teams meet on September 25th in Lusk.
Shoshoni is still #3, followed by Pine Bluffs and Rocky Mountain. Pine Bluffs and Rocky Mountain are both on the Tigers schedule this season as well.
Thunder Basin of Gillette is the new #1 in 4A and Wheatland captures the top spot in 2A.
No changes were made in 3A where Jackson is still the #1 team, and Meeteetse still holds down 6-man.
