Dawson Dunbar had a career night toting the ball 21 times for 202 yards and 3 touchdowns as Chadron rolled past Sidney 35-6 on Friday night.

Chadron struck fast out of the gate taking advantage of a bigXander Provance kick off return which set the Cardinals up at the Red Raider 28 yard line, two Dunbar carries later and Chadron was on the board.

A Chadron turnover on downs pinned Sidney back at their own 1 yard line when on 3rd down Cody Hall jumped on a fumble in the end zone for another touchdown, building a 14-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.

Just a few seconds into the 2nd quarter Dunbar would hit pay dirt again from 18 yards out to push the Cardinals ahead 21-0. Just before half Justus Alcorn would fire back to back completions, the 2nd of which was a 4 yard touchdown to Provance.

A Chayton Bynes interception gave the Chadron offense a short field, late in the 3rd quarter, and Dunbar would cap of the drive off from a yard out to give Chadron the 35-0 lead and initiate the running clock.

Sidney would use a drive that included 45 yards in Chadron penalties to pick up their only touchdown of the night on the legs of Nathan Kennedy.

Chadron drove the field one final time before kneeling out the clock inside the Red Raider 10 yard line.

Chadron moves to 6-0 on the season and heads to Alliance next week to play an 0-6 Bulldogs squad.
