Edgemont, Hot Springs Find Gold At Comet Classic


Hot Springs’ Marcus Harkless won both boys throws and teammate Jaylen Natchigall won the girls 100m hurdles at the Comet Classic in Rapid City on Tuesday.

Harkless threw personal best tosses in each event, going 151’ 3” in the discus, and throwing the shot put 47’ 7.5”.

Natchigall won her title by over a full second,  with a time of  16.41.

Edgemont’s Mackenzie Hollenbeck won gold in the girls triple jump with a leap of 32’ 4”.

Caleb Simons was the top Mogul boys performer with 6th place finishes in both the 100m and long jump.

Both Hot Springs and Edgemont will take part in the Black Hills Classic on Saturday in Sturgis.
