Emmanuel Sanders Retires After 12-Year Career In NFL

Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday after a 12-year career that included three Super Bowl appearances and a win in Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos.

Sanders was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers and joined the Broncos as a free agent in 2014. He topped 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first three seasons in Denver.

Sanders was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 2019 and appeared in the Super Bowl that year. He played for the Saints in 2020 and spent 2021 with the Buffalo Bills.
