Former Husker Transfers Again, Lands At Rice

Former Nebraska quarterback Luke McCaffrey, who departed the Huskers back in January, has now landed at Rice University after transferring from Louisville early last week.

McCaffrey expressed his desire to find a place where he could challenge for the starting quarterback job, but was unable to find that with Louisville who is returning a two year starter.

Meanwhile the Owls are needing to replace last season’s starter Mike Collins.

Rice head coach Mike Bloomgren was the offensive coordinator at Stanford when Luke’s older brother Christian starred for the Cardinal.

Rice confirmed to media outlets that McCaffrey has signed with the university and is set to begin summer workouts.
