Fuller, Chadron Run Away With Titles At Alliance Invite

Makinley Fuller took the individual title as she led the Chadron girls to a first place finish at the Alliance Invite on Saturday.

Fuller crossed the line in a time of 21:19, :11 ahead of the 2nd place runner. Grace Pyle (6th) and Emma Witte (10th) garnered top 10 medals with times of 22:01 and 22:16.

Leila Tewahade was just out of the top 10, crossing in 12th with a 22:53.

The Cardinals dominated the team race 24-41 over Gering. Scottsbluff was 3rd with a 49.

Carter Ryan took 7th in the boys race with a time of 18:52. He was the only Chadron boy to break the top 10.

As a team Chadron placed 3rd with 54 points.

Scottsbluff’s Hans Bastron won the race with a 17:29. The Bearcats also won the team portion with just 14 points as they claimed 2nd, 5th, and 6th.

The Cardinals are on the road Thursday at the Ogallala Invitational.
