Gordon-Rushville fell short of a state tournament appearance after a 49-36 loss to Oakland-Craig in the C2-8 district championship game.
Oakland-Craig maintained a double digit lead through most of the game, but Gordon-Rushville trimmed it to 7 at 34-27 late in the 3rd before the Knights nailed a buzzer beating three to close the quarter.
The Oakland-Craig lead grew to 16 at 43-27, but the Mustangs finished the game on a 9-6 run.
Gordon-Rushville ends the season at 19-7.
