The Gordon-Rushville duo of Jace Nelson and Tegan Snyder qualified for the class C state golf meet in Columbus after placing top 10 at the C-5 district meet in Valentine on Monday.
Nelson fired a round of 83 and took 6th while Snyder shot an 86 to sneak in at 9th. Mitchell’s Cael Peters continued his recent tear with a 3-under 68 to claim 1st.
Kearney Catholic ran away from the field in the team race with a 330. Amherst was 2nd with a 359 and Mitchell recorded a 369 to wrap up the team qualifying spots.
