The South Dakota Class A boys state golf meet wrapped on Tuesday with Hot Springs’ Jacob Harris finishing 29th with a two-day score of 180.
Harris’ round of 91 on Tuesday was just 2-strokes off of his Monday score of 89, but looked entirely different on the scorecard.
He eliminated the double and triple bogey holes that dotted his Monday score and played no worse than bogey on 12 of 18.
Brock Schroeder found the sledding tougher yet on Tuesday with a 120. With his opening round of 110, he settled with a 230. He came up short on recording anything better than a bogey on any single hole.
Kaleb Jost of Sioux Falls Christian took home the individual state title with a 155 and Tea Area captured the team championship with a 669, finishing ahead of West Central and Vermillion.
