Harris Sits Middle Of The Pack After Day One Of SD State Golf

Hot Springs’ Jacob Harris is tied for 31st with a 1st round score of 89 at Monday’s South Dakota Class A boys state golf meet in Madison.

Harris went par on 8 of the 18 holes, but the holes he didn’t par he finished double or triple bogey on. He is currently 8 strokes out of the top 10.

Teammate Brock Schroeder had a little bit tougher day going triple bogey or worse on 6 holes including a stretch of 10-over on 7, 8, and 9 as part of his 110 which has him sitting tied for 80th.

Eric Munson of Tea Area is on top of the leaderboard with a 74. Tea Area also leads the team race over Aberdeen Roncalli 329-332.

Final round action finishes up on Tuesday.
