Sidney avenged a pair of regular season losses as Karly Sylvester poured in 19 points and the Red Raiders took down Chadron 57-37 in the C1-12 girls sub-district championship game on Thursday night.

The win moves Sidney into the C1 district final round next Friday.

The Lady Cardinals were plagued by a slow start, falling behind 11-5 at the end of the first quarter.

A 7-0 run to start the 2nd quarter pushed Chadron ahead 12-11, but the Red Raiders responded with a 13-5 run into the half for a 24-17 lead at the break.

Chadron was able to cut the deficit to six to start the third quarter, but again Sidney responded to push the lead to ten, 36-26, heading to the fourth quarter.

Sidney went 20 of 31 at the charity stripe while Chadron went just 8 of 13.

Jacey Garrett had a team high 13 points for the Cardinals.

Chadron finishes the season at 13-8 and says goodbye to one Senior, Anika Burke.
