After a years absence, the Chadron High football team is back in the C1 playoffs this afternoon at Kearney Catholic.

Making their first trip since 2018, the Cardinals are one of three teams to come out of the C1-8 district, and are the 13th seed.

Chadron began the year 3-0 before losing on homecoming night to Mitchell. Following a couple of bounce back wins, Chadron took its other loss, this time to Gothenburg.

Kearney Catholic is led by Nebraska commit Heinrich Haarberg, a 6’ 6” 200-lb quarterback. Cardinals head football coach Mike Lecher says Haarberg isn’t the only piece to this Stars team.
