Gordon-Rushville Shows Up Big At District Wrestling

If there was such a thing as cutting it as close as you can, the Gordon-Rushville wrestling team did just that at the C-4 district wrestling meet on Saturday. All five Mustang wrestlers that qualified for state, had to battle back through the consolation rounds.

Teagan Snyder had the strongest day, taking third at 170-lbs. After losing his opening match, Snyder won three straight.

Tucker Banister (120-lbs), Traiton Starr (126-lbs), Jace Freeseman (145-lbs), and Taylon Pascoe (182-lbs) were fourth place finishers.

Starr lost the third place match to Ian Hughes of Amherst, the same wrestler he lost to in the quarterfinals.
