Holiday Tourney Challenges Rams

The Crawford Rams were overwhelmed by Cambridge and South Platte over the holiday at the North Platte Tournament.

The Rams faced Cambridge to open the tourney but couldn’t keep pace with the Trojans as they scored well into double digits in every quarter. The Trojans allowed just two points in the opening period, and took a 32-16 lead into the break. Though Crawford gained steam in the second quarter and outscored Cambridge 14-13, the momentum swung the other way in the second half, with the Trojans making runs of 11-4 and 18-3 for a 61-23 victory.

Roman Metz led the Rams with eight points. The Rams were 6 of 23 from the free throw line and grabbed 21 rebounds. Crawford’s Hays Frahm led with nine boards.
