Crawford had early control of the contest, allowing just three points in the opening minutes for an 11-3 edge. The pace was more even in the second quarter, with the Rams netting six and the Lions adding seven, but Crawford still maintained a seven-point lead at half-time. Morrill gained on the Rams in the third quarter, assembling a 12-6 outing to make it 23-22 as the final period started.
