After taking a 2-0 lead early against Morrill, the Warriors allowed the Lions to press ahead for a 9-6 advantage. After tying the opening set at nine on an ace serve by Karlee Juhnke, the Warriors never looked back and clinched the set 25-13. Juhnke contributed a second ace serve in the set, as well as two blocks. The Warriors were also aided by four kills by Tamika Eastman and three by Skylar Edmund. Sioux County led the entirety of the second set against the Lions, winning 25-9 after opening up an early 5-0 lead on two consecutive kills by Edmund. Morrill never came closer than three points in the set, in which Edmund had three kills in total. Juhnke added two more, and Eastman contributed an ace serve. The Warriors followed the win with a 25-17, 25-18 defeat of the Minatare Indians, coming from behind to take each set. The Indians jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the first and maintained a two-to-three-point advantage until the Warriors tied the contest at 11 and again at 12. A kill by Juhnke put Sioux County on top 13-12, and the Warriors extended their lead to 16-12 with two ace serves by Kodie Rempp and a kill by Beth Krein. Consecutive kills by Kailey Klein, Krein, and Eastman widened the spread to 20-15. Minatare held their early advantage in the second set for even less time, as Sioux County overcame a two-point deficit to take a 4-3 edge on a kill by Rempp. After a brief tie at four, the Warriors took back the lead and widened it to three points with an ace serve by Emily Parker. Minatare closed within two points three different times but failed to prolong their rally to take the lead again. Minatare took second in the triangular, defeating Morrill in three sets of 25-12, 24-26, 25-16.
