Hot Springs Girls Win Final Meet Ahead Of State

In their final tune-up before the Class A state golf meet in two weeks, the Hot Springs girls golf team snuck past Spearfish at the Douglas Tourney on Tuesday.

The Lady Bison finished with a team score of 212 in the 9-hole event, just one stroke ahead of the Spartans.

Spearfish returned the favor on the individual leaderboard as Kalie Lantis edged Hot Springs’ Sydney Olstad 45-46.

Jessi Schroeder fired a round of 51 and lost a tie-breaker to place 4th.  Allyson Kattke also lost a tie-breaker with a score of 54 and took 8th.

The Class A state golf will be the next action for Hot Springs coming up on June 6th and 7th at Spearfish Canyon Country Club.
