Hot Springs Golfers Finish 6th At State


The South Dakota girls Class A state golf meet wrapped up in Spearfish on Tuesday and the Hot Springs came away with a top ten finish in the team and individual standings.

The Lady Bison shot a two day score of 812 to place 6th, two strokes behind Black Hills Conference foe St. Thomas More.

Sioux Falls Christian ran away from the field with a 719, 30-strokes better than runner-up Sisseton.

Hot Springs’ Jessi Schroeder rounded out the top 10 with a 176, just four strokes away from a top 5 finish.

Allyson Katke placed 20th with a 192, and teammate Sydney Olstad had a 195, good enough for a tie for 24th.

Ava Krush and Jordan Conlon were towards the bottom of the leaderboard with scores of 249 and 280 respectively.

Maiya Muller of Beresford won the solo crown with a 155, a stroke better than Kelsey Heath of Sisseton.
