Hot Springs’ Jacob Harris shot a round of 87 and tied for 7th at Tuesday’s pre-Black Hills Conference meet in Belle Fourche.
As a team the Bison finished with a 408, good enough for 5th out of 7 teams. Spearfish claimed the team championship with a 318. That is 37 strokes ahead of runner-up St. Thomas More.
Brock Schroeder tied for 21st with a 97 while Alex McCarthy was two strokes back, alone in 25th with a 99.
Noah Wieseler capped off the Hot Springs scorecard with a score of 125.
Jack Hight of Spearfish won individual honors with his 74. Teammate Charlie Rasmussen took 2nd with a 76. The Spartans put all four of their scoring golfers inside the top ten.
Hot Springs is back on the course Thursday at the Rapid City Quad.
