Hot Springs Sweeps Lead-Deadwood, Now 3-1

The Hot Springs volleyball team moved to 3-1 on the year with a sweep of Lead-Deadwood in their home opener on Tuesday night.

The Bison won by scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-18.

Hot Springs Head Coach Tanna White said of last night’s game, “Last night was a solid first home game of the year for the girls. They did a great job of controlling those first home game jitters and made smart decisions throughout the evening.”

Jenna Ellis had the crazy stat of the night with 11 ace serves, adding 3 kills. Jaylen Nachtigal led the way at the net with 10 kills and a block.

Kylene Baker dished out 14 assists while coming away with 6 kills.

White went on to say, “We did a better job this game controlling the tempo as well as making good decisions offensively. Our ability to see the court is continuing to improve. We struggled a bit on the defensive end and will need to focus on that this week in practice.”

Hot Springs will travel to St. Thomas More on Thursday with a 7:00 o’clock first serve.
