Husker Men Meet Creighton, Women beat Illinois


— The Nebraska men will play their 2nd game in three days as they play 8th ranked and in-state rival Creighton at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. Creighton lost a heartbreaker to Kansas on Tuesday 73-72. The Huskers were taken down by Georgia Tech in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Tip off is at 5:00 pm.

— Sam Haiby produced a career high 33 points and the Nebraska women won their Big Ten opener 78-72 over Illinois on Thursday night. The Huskers ended the game on a 15-5 run after trailing with 3:00 minutes left.

Nebraska steps back out of conference play on Monday when they head to Creighton for the women’s version of the I-80 rivalry. The game will tip at 4:00 pm on Nebraska Educational Television.

— Filip Rebraca had a career-high 26 points as North Dakota edged past South Dakota 75-71 in a Summit League opener for both teams. Stanley Umude had 30 points for the Coyotes.

— Ayoka Lee scored 18 points with nine rebounds and Kansas State took control early in a 62-53 win over No. 22 South Dakota State. Myah Selland led South Dakota State with 15 points.
