Husker Wrap-Up: Baseball Wins, Bowling To Play For National Title

**The Nebraska baseball team has won nine of its last ten games following a 6-2 win over Maryland on Friday in a weekend series opener.

Joe Acker went 3-for-5 for the Huskers at the plate with three doubles and two runs scored.

Nebraska is now 14-5 on the season and will meet the Terrapins again at 1:00 pm this afternoon. The game can be viewed statewide on NET.

** The Nebraska softball team went 0-10 with runners in scoring position and dropped their series opening game with Illinois 4-0.

The Illini outhit the Huskers 6 to 4, with four of those Illinois hits with two outs.

Game two is this morning at 11:00 am.

**The Nebraska women’s bowling team will make its 10th appearance in the national championship today after a come from behind win over McKendree.

Nebraska lost the opening round of traditional match play 1104-994, but came back to win the five and seven round bakers format matches.

The Huskers will play the winner of Arkansas State and McKendree at 5:00 pm tonight on ESPNU.
