A pair of Chadron middle school runners finished in the top 25 at last Saturday’s Nebraska Junior High cross country state championships hosted by Papillion-LaVista. The field included 244 runners from around the state, regardless of class.
Cali Hendrickson crossed the line in 11th with a time of 12:06 for the 3K race. Jentsyn Fuller was :15 behind in 22nd place.
Both are 8th graders at Chadron Middle School.
The winning time went to Claire Karjalainen of Kearney with an 11:11.
Norris won the girls team title over Papillion-LaVista. Sidney was the top panhandle team in 4th.
