Lady Cardinals Softball Blast Scottsbluff For First Win Of Season

After falling behind in an early 2-0 hole, the Chadron softball team scored two in the third and one in the fourth to take the lead and cruise to their first win of the season 15-4 at Scottsbluff last night.

The big dent came from the Cardinals in the top of the fifth when their offense exploded for 12 runs and put the game out of reach. Scottsbluff would add two runs in the half of the fifth, but game game was called by run rule.

Bristyn Cummings pounded out three hits to lead the Cardinal attack and drove in a trio of RBI’s while scoring twice herself.
