Nebraska State Football Championship Games All Set

The Nebraska state football championships are set in all seven classes following Friday’s semifinals. There will be a new catch to this year’s finals.

The Lancaster County Public Health Department, home to Lincoln and Memorial Stadium, determined on Friday afternoon that high school sports will not be allowed until December 7th under a new local health directive.

All but one of the finals will be hosted by the higher seed. The D6 championship is still set to be played at UNK’s Cope Stadium.

Class A will feature Elkhorn South at Omaha Westside. Aurora will travel to Elkhorn in Class B. Pierce will host Adams Central in Class C1.

Class C2 will pit Ord on the road against Fremont Bergan. Dundy County-Stratton is at Burwell in D1, and the Western most team left in any class, Sandhills-Thedford, heads to Bruning-Davenport-Shickley in D2.

The D6 championship in Kearney, will be McCool Junction against Sterling.

All games will be played next Friday.
